Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Ruinfall game application ("Game") and the website at ruinfallgame.com ("Website"), operated by Andreas Schneider ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Game or Website, you agree to these terms.

2. Account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • One account per person. Multiple accounts may be banned.
  • You may not sell, trade, or transfer your account to another person.

3. Game Rules

  • Cheating, hacking, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized third-party software is strictly prohibited.
  • Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior toward other players is not tolerated.
  • Attempting to manipulate game data, network traffic, or server communication is prohibited.
  • Real-money trading (RMT) of in-game items, characters, or currency is not allowed.

4. Intellectual Property

All content in the Game and on the Website — including but not limited to graphics, sprites, music, sound effects, text, game mechanics, and code — is the intellectual property of Andreas Schneider and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without prior written permission.

5. User-Generated Content

When you submit bug reports, feature requests, or other content through the Website, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and process that content for the purpose of improving the Game and Website. You retain ownership of your submissions.

6. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Game and Website available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any loss of game progress due to server issues, though we make every effort to prevent data loss.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, including but not limited to cheating, abusive behavior, or unauthorized access attempts. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Game and Website are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Game or Website.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction is Limburg an der Lahn, Germany, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Website or in-game notifications. Continued use of the Game or Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
